Sarah Palin is a "hoax"

It now appears the story about Palin believing Africa was a country and not a continent may have been a hoax. It's hard to tell because 1) some of the same people that were involved in the hoaxing are involved in the de-hoaxing, and because 2) Palin is as dumb as a sack of rocks.

The right-wing bloggers are bloviating all over the place about the left-wing bloggers who went with the story.

Hoax or no hoax, does not, in the least, mitigate the fact that Palin is an idiot. One hoax doth not a genius make. All one has to do is listen to her varied and increasingly numerous statements in varied and increasingly numerous interviews - she is a religious freak, a liar, a truly nasty person, and is pretty much ignorant about the real world.

The evidence keeps accumulating!

For example, see if you can decompress this: (from Daniel Larison)

Palin: Sitting here in these chairs that I'm going to be proposing but in working with these governors who again on the front lines are forced to and it's our privileged obligation to find solutions to the challenges facing our own states every day being held accountable, not being just one of many just cansting votes or voting present every once in a while, we don't get away with that. We have to balance budgets and we're dealing with multibillion dollar budgets and tens of thousands of employees in our organizations.

Or this: (from Alaska Dispatch)

Palin (to Van Susteren): It [Alaska] is not like other states where perhaps the oil company actually owns all the resources underground and they're the ones that solely benefit from development. Here in Alaska we partner with the oil industry. Alaskans own the resources and the oil companies lease the ground and lease the rights to develop, and ..."

Actually, Palin again proves she knoweth not whereof she speaketh. There are no "other states" where the oil companies own all the resources underground and there are many states that generate revenue from issuing leases to develop oil and gas on state land.

Even worse, though, is this incessant bragging about Alaska's addiction to oil. As Alaska Dispatch says, "...[B]eing addicted to oil isn't something we should be proud of. Since Prudhoe Bay was discovered in 1968, we've had 40 years to develop new economies not tethered to our natural resources. We've failed miserably..."

Furthermore, "O]ur proven oil reserves are running dry. What about ANWR and offshore oil, you say? Keep dreaming. Those ideas have been around forever, just like the gas pipeline that governor after governor has championed (Besides, the Feds would take the majority of the oil royalties if ANWR or federal offshore leases were ever developed.)"

McCain's pick of Palin might have been a hoax on the American people. He has been said to sometimes play dirty tricks.

For certain, it has been a nightmare.

You run the transcript of a conversation with a United States Governor without all of the punctuation and then call HER an idiot?

It just might be possible that some other gods or God is the same as others by different names, or is the only one, how will we ever know in our lifetime? I am sure the real Gods do not care how we spell or even if we can spell. Why get so hung up over such things?

If you can find a way to punctuate that paragraph and make sense of it, go to it!

She's an idiot!

palin is one of the biggest idiots and scumbags ever let go on the american public.

forget africa -- how about not knowing ONE supreme court case -- or talking about putin flying over alaska....

...or saying that the US has 57 states...oops, that was your man Obama. I mean like saying "jobs" is a 3 letter word...or was that Biden? Point is that none of these humans are perfect.

No, my friend, the point is that, while everyone makes bloopers on occasion, Ms. Palin is unable to speak in complete sentences that make sense.

She is also ignorant. And I might mention that the problem with the hoax story had to do with the source of the story.

The fact she didn't know that Africa is a continent and not a country stands. If you read one of her comments about that, she doesn't deny it, she says she was misunderstood.

I'll have more on Sarah Palin's lies soon.

You believe a story is true from a fabricated source? Are you working with Dan Rather?

...as for complete sentences, who does this remind you of... Errrr....Ahhhh.....aaaaa...errrr.....well....aaahhh

Once again, the voters will get what they deserve. I hope they are happy with their economic and job situation as it is and has been under Bush. They actually deserve what they get but the half of the country that knew better are suffering too. They do not learn and insist on making excuses for ignorance. I do not feel sorry for them. I do feel sorry for those that knew better but were outvoted. Those that didn’t vote are also out of my sympathy lines. They deserve what they get because the indicators were there to be seen.
I hope it changes but not if people are going to keep making the same dumb excuses. Palin is not and was not aware of reality outside her very narrow world. Obviously those opposed to her out prayed her and God decided Obama was His choice. Now what? More prayer or some attempt to learn the facts of life and governance? If Alaska votes her in again, it is their problem, not mine. When the oil is gone, do they close the state?

Dear Patriot:\
The Messiah has delayed a second or first coming for a long time. What makes you think it will happen now just becasue Palin is around?
I wonder if you are patriotic enough to enlist and serve where needed or are you all flag waving while safe at home while others fight for you? What is your excuse if you have not served or even offered to?
Join the millions unwilling to defend what you insist is of suvh urgency. Cowardice is catching, I am afraid.

??Huh?? I can't believe that Jacob isn't ripping on you for mispelling or incoherant thoughts! Bob, you're the only guy I know that goes by anonymous and signs everything that he writes!

Lowell said...

You poor fella. Low self-esteem, probably. Perhaps your kindergarten teacher treated you badly?

Incoherant? You really need, help.

Bob writes quickly, so makes some typos. But he makes sense.

You write merely snide comments without any substance, never dealing with the issues.

And you can't spell at all.

It is easier for me to sing my name. I have no reason to hide. Do you?

Bob, I see you got your name on there. Good work. I don't really understand why you get a pass on spelling and I don't. It looks like you and Jacob probably lean more the same way, so that's OK.
I've really been screwing up. I was under the impression that the comment box was for comments. Snyde or otherwise. How can a person get substantive on issues like Sarah Palin is an idiot, Sarah Palin is a moron, Sarah Palin is a scumbag, etc.

Lowell said...

I think you could try to be substantive. You see, when I call Palin a liar (I don't recall ever calling her a "scumbag") I back it up with evidence.

So try.

You "snyde" character. Yur speling is sew funee.

Dang, I meant to spell check that!!!

It is good to know you thought you might be wrong.

Otherwise I was thinking you might be a "checkle and snyde."

My truth may not be the same as your truth. So my statements of fact are not accepted by you as fact, and vice versa. I guess that is why there are so many religions, philosophies, versions of history, mythology, etc. People do differ from one another. I grant you that right as long as you grant the same to me.
