The face of evil

Book burning of any sort is an exercise in evil. Those who believe they must burn books are fatally flawed human beings with an emptiness at the core. Book burning has almost always been carried out by people who live in fear, afraid they may be exposed to information that would require them to change their beliefs or their way of life.

James Crawford lives in Shreveport, Louisiana. Crawford pastors a Pentecostalist outfit called the "International House of Prayer." He conducted a book burning ceremony as part of the Shreveport Regional Unity of Faith Revival.

You might guess that a Harry Potter book was burned along with a pornography magazine (likely the latter was perused for prurient content first, dontcha think?)

A grand total of about 30 folks showed up for the burning of bad books and filthee magazines. Crawford claimed is was a "statement to reach out to local residents."

"It is allowed for Harry Potter to be taught in our schools," whined the reverend, "but not the Bible."

Where do these idiots get the idea that the Bible should be taught in public schools? Is there some place they go to have retrograde brain surgery that makes them really stupid?

Stew at 2000 Years of Deception notes that in the comments section of the news story, Crawford posted this:

"I am James Crawford the director of this prayer movement. We are going to see the city established in the word of the Lord. We will not tolerate this perversion anymore. We are the watchmen of the Lord and He is the only Lord worthy to reign in this city. Why, because he said so and He is God!!!"

Watch the book-burning video here and you will, I think, see the face of evil.

The Nazis burned books along with people too. These idots are so afraid of ideas and books. Why? burning books does not destoy ideas. Discussion and reason is the way to fight books. If your philosphy or belief cannot stand argument, it cannot survive.
