Sarah Palin's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention contained that funny line about the difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom. It was "lipstick," in case you forgot.Dick Cheney used a similar phrase a couple of years ago, only his involved a pig and lipstick. And the punch line was when you took off the lipstick, it was still a pig.
Needless to say, Palin's version was revised. Can't blame her, though, as a Bush speechwriter wrote her speech before anyone knew who would be the Republican vice presidential candidate. Maybe the writer initially intended to use Cheney's version. The McCain campaign admitted the speech had to be "feminized" once the discovered Ms. Palin would be on the ticket.
BarbinMD, writing at Daily Kos was listing to Giuliani's speech -- the part where he attacked Obama's experience:
Giuliani said: "...he's never run a city, never run a state, never run a business. He's never had to lead people in crisis."
BarbinMD recognized those words. They were spoken by Giuliani last year when he was attacking John McCain for his lack of experience and inability to lead:
Giuliani said of McSame: "...has never run a city, never run a state, never run a government. He has never been responsible as a mayor for the safety and security of millions of people."
Talking points. That's all the Republicans have to offer. They are simply devoid of substance or truth! GOPers must stand for "Gobs of perpetual, errant, rotten shit."

I am glad Rudy lost too. Maybe the Republicans do not need to write new things. They rehash a lot of stuff that is accepted by their base without question. They elected Bush twice and that tells me something about their base.
