Todd Bentley Update - it was another woman!

Initially, everyone said there was no infidelity on the part of either Todd Bentley or his wife.

All the wingnuts went "Whew!"

Bentley, as you know, is that tattooed, Canadian, evangelistic fruitcake with a past, who has been tearing up the revival scene in Lakeland, Florida, preaching his brand of Jesus (whom he talks to), healing all sorts of diseases (sometimes by knocking people down), and generally creating an ungodly uproar. In other words, he's Canada's version of Elmer Gantry.

The uproar increased a few days ago when it was announced that Bentley and his wife had separated. Fresh Fire Ministries, which is Bentley's outfit, also said that no outside persons were involved. It was the ministry that had put so much pressure on the marriage...

Yesterday, Fresh Fire issued an update: "We wish to acknowledge ... that since our last statement from the Fresh Fire Board of Directors, we have discovered new information revealing that Todd Bentley has entered into an unhealthy relationship on an emotional level with a female member of his staff."

Don't you just love that truth-mincing "unhealthy relationship on an emotional level" bit? Be honest, anyway. Did he diddle her or not?

And all of this in spite of the fact that Bentley was just recently commissioned "as an evangelist by leading apostolic ministers ... The event took place during a special ceremony that was broadcast by God TV."

Bentley's "commissioning" meant that some self-appointed religious wacko poohbahs laid their hands on Bentley's head and certified that he was goofy enough to continue to scam all the deluded and delusionary folks of Lakeland and surrounding areas.

Peter Wagner is a major poohbah of the so-called International Coalition of Apostles. He was in charge of Bentley's "commissioning." When he prayed over Bentley, he said "This commissioning represents a powerful spiritual transaction taking place in the invisible world. With this in mind, I take the apostolic authority that God has given me and I decree to Todd Bentley, your power will increase, your authority will increase, your favor will increase, your influence will increase, your revelation will increase."

Gobbledygook! All of it! Invisible world? Please!

You have to admit his "revelation" did, in fact, increase. It was shortly thereafter revealed that Mr. Bentley, man of god, commissioned to further con the people by one who claimed to be chosen of the same god, was fooling around with a chickadee on his staff.

But, it really wasn't Bentley's fault. He was so good, you know, doing such good work for the deity, that the devil just couldn't stand by and let it happen. So it really wasn't Bentley's fault, it was the devil's fault.

You can expect that Bentley will soon strike out on his own. He'll put up another tent and will be once again "healing" other fools who line up to get knocked down, even while he's busy knocking off a little on the side.

Any man that will knock down a woman, is not a good man. What does he do to the woman while she is down? I assume he has different rules than the rest of us. Don;t woman understand that they can get knocked up or down by insincere men?

Todd Bentley is a man of God. Are you perfect? Didn't think so. You do not run your mouth about a man but the Most High God. Did not the Apostle Paul, who wrote much of the New Testament, make a name for himself killing the followers of Christ? How then does grace not extent to those who fall now? Will you stand up to the standard you have held this man of God to? Do you not fear the hand of the Lord God? Or is it so hard to immagine that when the Creator of the universe touches someone that they would be unable to stand. Watch your toungue, for my God, who is rich in mercy is also a God of vengence and wrath and He is soon to pour out His furry on the sons of disobedience. You've heard too much about a lovey dovey God. Is it because He has held His hand in mercy that you do not fear Him. You stand corrected this day. I do pray you be blessed. As surely as the Lord lives, He will reveal Himself to you and you will love and fear the Kind who sits on the throne.

may this website that speaks blasphemy be judged by the Most High God and be brought to desolation

No, I don't fear your imaginary friend. And if Bentley is "a man of God," your God needs new friends badly. Watch your own "toungue," for your god is a figment of your demented imagination.

You stand corrected, anonymous!

Perhaps you should be telling Bentley to worry about the "Kind" who sits on the throne. I've heard the "Kind" doesn't like all the nasty crap that spews out of the mouths of morons like Bentley.

My problem with Bentley is not that he isn't perfect; as you said, nobody's perfect; my problem is that he's a fraud and a faker and a fulminating ignoramus who knows nothing about God or the Bible and trades on the even greater ignorance of the poor fools that come to see his pagan performances.

Oh, a god who loves me does not need me to "fear" her.

Thanks for writing.

Did that other "anonymous" moron curse me? Heh. Heh. You poor deluded fool.

May the cursers of this website be led to happiness, joy and peace and be freed of the need to do god's work for her.

I'd say "Go to hell," but I think you're already trapped in a religious hell of your own.

Unfortunately in people's hunger for God, they were deceived by this Fruitcake - the result leaving Christians confused and unbelievers ammunition to say that there is no God.
This mere man is a disgrace, but a man - can be forgiven, but stay away from the ministry.
Jesus is Lord whether we believe it or not, we are given the free will to believe or not.
Unfortunately, there will be more people like this mere man with more new "signs" that will be stated in the name of the Lord - until exposed, like lies always are.

Todd Bentley is not in my opinion doing God's work. i will never again let myself be influenced by famous pastors even when they appear as a gang. How this man can stand in front of people less than a year after the scandal and preach a gospel. It really is beyond belief that he has broken his marriage vows and caused such scandal to Christians who supported him. Is he going to omit he parts of the Bible that prohibit divorce? The whole thing blows my mind. I am disgusted with those pastors who are letting him loose so soon.
