Todd Bentley's wife says "Bye, bye!"

Couldn't happen to a nicer man.

You will remember Todd Bentley, the battering ram, healing evangelist holding forth for god knows way too long in the city of Lakeland, Florida. You'll remember he ran afoul of the law a few years ago, but god has forgiven him and all is well and he's been having a great time jumping up and down on a stage while curing people of their lumps and bumps by the laying on of hands and sometimes by pushing them right down on their behinds.

All good things must come to an end, said some wiseass. So, too with Bentley who will be leaving his revival on August 23, because he and his wife, Shonnah, are separating, the cause being "significant friction in their relationship."

This impending split does not, of course, invalidate all the "good" work that Bentley has done. His spokeswoman in Florida, Lynne Breidenbach, said the news of the separation was "very sad," but "God uses fallen, flawed people ..."

I guess that means that if Bentley healed you from cancer, you shouldn't automatically experience a recurrence.

Not that anyone cares about any of this. But I'll bet a lot of normal folks in Lakeland will be glad to see him gone.

God works in mysterious ways His miracles to perform. He also uses some questionable people to help Him.

Todd had an affair! He is the one to blame for the divorce. I don't think he is such a "nice" man.

The saddest thing about Todd's fallout is now they'll typecast us preachers with tattoos, chains, rings and fancy dresses and say there goes another Todd Bentley, watch and wait till they fall!
