Operation Save America Sunday Morning Witness - the American Taliban strikes again!

They're called Operation Save America, formerly known as Operation Rescue. They are extremists on the Christian Right. They are part of the American Taliban who believe they know god's will and are authorized to act on behalf of their god. They have been known to resort to violence.

They are friends of James Dobson.

This morning these self-righteous Christian terrorists from Operation Save America plan to strike at three churches in Atlanta to bring judgment and a call to repentance.

The churches are Victory Church, affiliated with the United Church of Christ; Hillside Presbyterian Church; and First Baptist Church of Sugarhill.

The Taliban is calling "Atlanta and our nation to repent for the deaths of 50 million little boys and girls killed by abortion since the infamous Roe v. Wade decision.

"Because judgment begins in the Church, repentance must begin there also," or so says Operation Save America.

Victory Church was chosen as an attack point for several reasons: it is hosting "the Human Rights Campaign Gospel Concert," and the Human Rights Campaign "is the largest group advocating gay & lesbian rights and the UCC is the denomination of Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Barak (sic) Obama.""

The Taliban then says this: "For the first time in the history of our nation, we have a man running for president who is neither a Christian nor a patriot."

Hillside Presbyterian was chosen to be attacked because Dr. Tyrone Malloy is a member. The Taliban calls Dr. Malloy an "abortionist" who "kills God's innocent children and is welcomed at Hillside on Sunday."

These fools also selected First Baptist Church of Sugarhill because "Pastor Richard Lee publicly apologized for any Christian who carries the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the streets. This statement totally denies Jesus' command to carry the Gospel to all the world."

All of this is almost incomprehensible. There must be a special place in hell reserved for such morons who actually believe they not only have the truth in their pointy little heads, but have the right to publicly hassle and berate non-Christians as well as other Christians who hold different interpretations of what Christianity means.

And to charge that Senator Barack Obama is not a Christian and not a patriot is deranged character-assassination for which their "savior" would deny them access to the Pearly Gates!
Can you imagine spending eternity in the proximity of such grotesque and stupid people?

Unless they break the law, they will continue to do their damage to free speech and the freedom to believe differently. They do accept the Taliban thinking and actions. It is a good thing that they cannot walk our streets with whips and clubs to enforce their views. I do not think they care what we think. They are convinced they are doing God’s work. I though I read that Christians should render unto Caesar…etc. I guess they can pick and choose which rules pertain to them. They do present a danger to others that hear a different message from the same God. Only god can stop them, I guess.

Do you believe that human rights include a right to life ?

You ask:
Do you believe in human rights ? Do you believe that human rights include a right to life ? Do you believe that the unborn are human ?
I do not think it matters if I do, or do not, answer your questions. We live in a nation of laws and all are entitled to their opinion. In some cases my answer might depend on circumstances, such as capital punishment; justifiable homicide;, manslaughter, etc.

I do believe in human rights, but there are differences of opinions as to the definition of the term. We might agree or differ as to that definiton.

Certainly under our laws, some people are judged to be not entitled to life. Others choose not to live. Others believe it is ok to take a life for a variety of reasons. Again, apparently circumstances or who takes the life makes a difference. There are few absolutes on this earth.

There are many answers to when life begins and when that life becomes “human”. It is frequently answered differently by different spokespeople. Some that accept a variety of definitions also accept that they have the right to terminate a pregnancy for a variety of reasons.

In my family, abortion was never an option, but no one in my family was ever faced with an unwelcome pregnancy, as far as I know.
Many, in my family, served in the military during several wars. All understood they might have to take a life and agreed to serve.

I do not believe that my views must be observed by all others. There are choices we all must make. Some are disagreeable but under some circumstances might be the proper option.

If God is to be the proper judge, then God will make the decision, not any human. Perhaps it is a question of faith as to the role of God. Sometimes those that claim to know what God wants, are guilty of many things I do not think God would approve of. We were granted free choice. You were not authorized to make my choices by any authority I recognize. I am sure you would not authorize me to make your choices for you.
