The governor has a job, is wealthy and receives a good salary, a free home, a pension etc. He can afford to wait until the economy recovers. His political ambitions or his rigid principles are more important than those in need. Sometimes I wonder if we should elect wealthy Republicans, while voting for average Democrats. That probably wouldn’t work, but it does make me wonder why those with wealth and better health care and pensions cannot empathize with those in deep trouble.
Of course those that voted for him deserve what they got but those that didn’t are also suffering.
