A FAUX News surprise?

Media Matters noted a couple days ago that FOX (FAUX) News used a "GOP press release as its own research -- typo and all.

"...in purporting to 'take a look back' at how the economic recovery plan 'grew, and grew, and grew,' Fox News' Jon Scott referenced seven dates, as on-screen graphics cited various new sources from those time periods -- all of which came directly from a Senate Republican Communications Center press release. A Fox News on-screen graphic even reproduced a typo contained in the Republican press release."

This is, of course, no surprise, and I'm sure it did not surprise the folks at Media Matters. By now everyone in the country who can stay awake more than an hour at a time should be well aware of the fact that FOX News is and has been, not a real news station at all, but the mouthpiece of the Republican Party.

"Fair and balanced" has become a standing joke amongst real media people. When one uses the words "fair and balanced" and FOX News in the same sentence, they can only be refering to Bill O'Reilly's "fair" skin and the fact that FOX News keeps all their reports "balanced" by having a conservative on both sides of an issue.

FOX (FAUX) News is so outrageously unbalanced and so obviously a propaganda machine for the Republican Party that almost nothing FOX News says could surprise us.

Unless, of course, they actually decided on any given day to report the news.

Or, if O'Reilly and Hannity finally took their religious blatherings seriously and told the truth for a change.

Or, if they fired the bigoted, ignorant asshat, Glenn Beck.

Don't hold your breath.
