Rex Rammell - Repugnican racist in Idaho

Oh, boy, the "real" Repugnicans in Idaho are worried. Seems like one of their clan, a stoopid by name of Rex Rammell, who is running for the gubernatorial nomination in Idaho, wants a license to hunt Barack Obama.

Yup.

Here's the real face of the Repugnican Party. It doesn't matter that a bunch of other Repugs from Idaho disavowed what Rammell said. Rammell obviously feels right at home in their midst and felt free to make a comment that any sane person would consider reprehensible.

But we have learned that religious, christianist, rightwhitewingnut Repugnicans are in their heart of hearts, racists to the core. And all the blather coming out of Idaho and Washington to the contrary is contradicted by their actions since Obama became president.

Rammell is a unreconstructed racist asshat. According to McClatchy, "On Friday morning [yesterday], Rammell issued a statement in a press release and on Twitter: 'Anyone who understands the law, knows I was just joking, because Idaho has no jurisdiction to issue hunting tags in Washington, D.C.'"

Ha, ha, ha. This must pass for "funny" in the wilds of Idaho.


If you guessed that Rammell is a Jesus lover and an ultraconservative rightwingnut, you'd be right on target.

He believes Amurica was established by God. Yup! The god of the Repugnican Party! No, not Yahweh, but Yahoo!

Not only so, but if Amuricans turn away from Yahoo, he's gonna get really pissed and beat up on Amurica.

And the Constitution was "inspired by God."

Rammell likes free markets

Capitalism is god-given

Lower taxes means more growth

Opposed the bailouts

Wants to abolish the Federal Reserve and go back to the gold standard

Hates any kind of guv'mint health insurance plan - guv'mint health insurance is "an improper role" for the guv'mint

Doesn't much like immigrants; build fences and send 'em home

Leave education to the parents

Cut taxes, particularly on the rich

The guv'mint should stop spending money - unless, of course, it needs to for important things like illegal wars

Build more nuclear power plants, and turn all of Amurica's energy production over to private industry

Global warming is not man-made

Use our public lands for everything, including "grazing, logging and mining"

Wolves should be eliminated.


Rammell is an elk rancher. He lives in Rexburg, Idaho. Rexburg is that neat little town where, according to the Huffington Post, "In November 2008, second- and third-grade students on a school bus ... chanted 'Assassinate Obama' after his election, prompting the mayor of this eastern Idaho town to publicly apologize."

Where, do you suppose, would young children learn to say such a thing?


Evidently, Rammell knows full well the people in his party and the people who will be voting for him.
