The question is: WHY?

A brief post.

The question is WHY?

Why do most Republicans approve of an unnecessary war against a country ruled by a dictator that was no threat to the United States, and that has lasted eight miserable years, costing close a trillion dollars, not to mention the price we've paid in American and Iraqi dead?

Why do most Republicans whine about deficits and scream "socialism" and weep about the collapse of their beloved country when someone mentions reforming health care in this country; a reform that would provide every citizen access to the medical help he or she needs?

Why do most Republicans go off on a patriotic tangent in support of a stupid and winless war in Afghanistan which is costing billions of dollars every month and in which an increasing number of American soldiers are being killed every week?

Why do most Republicans want to get rid of so-called "entitlement" programs such as Social Security and Medicare claiming they are "socialistic" and cost too much but at the same time have no problem with providing the very best government-sponsored health care for members of the U.S. Congress?

Why do most Republicans (and "blue dog" Democrats) line their pockets with money from health insurance and drug companies and then blatantly spout the corporate talking points against health care reform? Why are these whores not voted out of Congress?

And why the hell can the government find money to bail out the rich, and finance stupid and useless wars in far off lands which have nothing to do with freedom or democracy, but refuse to come up with a tiny increase for the elderly on Social Security who are going to have to do with less next year as their insurance premiums are going to increase?

But the most important question is WHY do so many STOOPIDS vote for the very people who sell them out, year after year after year?

Excellent questions. One answer is that the voters, those that actually care enough to vote, keep allowing themselves to be diverted by emotional issues that rarely get addressed after the elections. Many haven’t a clue as to how government works; what a President can do and what he cannot do. How our representatives have to accept money and favors in order to raise the funds needed to run for office; etc

We are ignorant and do not demand answers to the vital things that can be changed if our reps did there jobs.
