Glenn Beck & Sarah Palin - Mouthpieces of evil

[Cartoon © 2009 by Universal Press Syndicate]

In the time since Glenn Beck said that President Obama "has a deep-seated hatred for white people [and] the white culture" and that he was "a racist," a number of companies have pulled their advertising from his program (36 at last count).

One might think that a responsible news organization would see fit to discontinue his services, but that, of course is not the case as we're not dealing with a responsible news organization, we're dealing here with FAUX News, a propaganda outfit fully in the control of its corporate masters.

Mark Karlin, editor of BuzzFlash, has an excellent article as to why Glenn Beck will never be fired from the FAUX network. FAUX likes Glenn Beck's insanity, says Karlin. It increases his audience. Beck, says Karlin, "is doing exactly what FOX wants him to do, which is distract the confused white masses from blaming corporations for their economic plight to blaming scapegoats -- in this case non-whites. ...

"FOX is Rupert Murdoch's main vehicle for ensuring the continued and unquestioned greed of the corporate ruling class, and Beck is the most successful gutter carnival barker in terms of churning up hateful and igniting emotions that they have. He touches something so evil and primal in the chronically confused and white-firsters that he makes Hannity appear civil. Beck is a strategic thespian of both the most skilled and basest sort: this makes him a star to FOX, not a pariah."

You can read all of Karlin's article here.

And now another perpetrator of lies and evil has jumped into the fray: Sarah Palin.

When advertisers began pulling out of Beck's program, Beck attacked Van Jones who Beck claimed is behind the advertising boycott. McClatchy quotes the Los Angeles Times to describe Van Jones as "a White House environmental advisor and co-founder of an African American political advocacy group that organized an advertising boycott of his [Beck's] program."

The group is called Color of Change. And it did indeed launch the boycott. But Beck, being crazy but not stupid, has to know that Van Jones has not been actively involved with the Color of Change for about two years.

Enter Sarah Palin, who is, in fact stupid. On her Facebook site, this donkey from Alaska is defending the insane Mr. Beck. And once again, she has failed to check her information or facts. In her ignorance and in her confused mental state, she has concluded there is a "conspiracy" in the White House to "get" poor Mr. Beck:

"FOX News' Glenn Beck," saith the plasterboard Palin, "is doing an extraordinary job this week walking America behind the scenes of 1600 Pennyslvania Avenue and outlining who is actually running the White House."

Innuendo and hatred. The basis of Palin-speak! She's back to inciting the mobs of morons who follow her just as she did on the campaign trail.

By defending Beck, she is concurring with his judgment that Obama hates white people and the "white culture," and that the president of the United States is a racist.

Which is, of course, exactly what her own racist followers want to hear as they can use that to justify their own deep-seated hatred for people of color.

What is so sad is that millions of people actually revere her. The woman is a dominionist freak who has no interest in truth, goodness, or the well-being of the United States. Alaskans are rejoicing that she is gone. Unfortunately, she didn't go far enough.
