The Republican attempt to derail the probe as to whether Sarah Palin "abused her power when she dismissed the state's public safety commissioner" has failed!
You can read more on the "probe" here.
A capsule version: Alaska Republican Rep. John Coghill attempted last week to pressure the powers-that-be to turn over the probe to the Alaska Legislature's Legislative Council into possibly replacing Democratic Sen. Hollis French, who is in charge of the probe.
Coghill charged that French was politicizing the process to help the national Democratic ticket.
It didn't work.
Still, Palin and the Republicans are trying to do everything to block the investigation. Palin, who initially said she should be "held accountable," now says she will not cooperate.
Pit Bulls disguised as hockey moms are not accountable, I guess.
