Obama's interview with al-Arabiya
Just in case you haven't seen this: Anderson Cooper discusses some of the interview. Someone else noted, favorably, that the interview was impressive: a change in tone, not policy.
The Huffington Post and the entire transcript here.
I watched the interview and welcomed it. I have traveled thru a few Arab lands and had Muslim friends when I lived in Detroit. I hope the masses in the Arab lands do see the interview. It indicates a willingness to talk without hate. The Arab “street” is usually manipulated by the governments, with the help of the mullahs, who depend upon the state for their funding and support. Hopefully Obama opened a door. Let’s hope he is received in a friendly manner. The Arab world can use some realistic thinking. Their obsession with Israel and the Jews has kept them living in poverty and ignorance for far too long.

It is nice to finally see dialogue and diplomacy instead of threats and attacks. Gee, I wonder which strategy will make us safer in the end?
