Dick Armey - A pretentious fool driven by greed and blessed by God

Dick Armey is a Repugnican from Texas. He was at one time the House Majority Leader in the U.S. Congress.

He's always been a slime bucket, but these days he's outdoing his previous reputation. No longer a U.S. Congressman (thank the gods!), he is part and parcel of the corporatists who would destroy the world to make a buck.

According to Lee Fang at Think Progress (via AlterNet), Armey, after leaving Congress, "became a lobbyist for the firm DLA Piper, which represents many interests with a stake against curbing greenhouse gas emissions. ... "

He also "became the head of Citizens for a Sound Economy, a right-wing front group funded largely by oil companies like ExxonMobil. CSE later morphed into the astroturf organization known as FreedomWorks, which Army has used to orchestrate the viscious anti-Obama tea party rallies. ... "

On July 30, the Republicans in Congress held a bicameral hearing on climate change legislation. Armey, "Along with a cadre of polluter CEOs and Chamber of Commerce officials ... played his part leveling an array of attacks on any effort to transition to a clean energy economy."

This is not unexpected, but par for the course. Smarmy Armey, though, being a good christianist and lover of Jesus, said (and this so ludicrous it leaves one breathless) that "because God created the heavens and the Earth, it would be 'quite pretentious' for people to believe God would permit global warming to even occur ..."

After accusing those attempting to deal with the problem of climate change of becoming involved in "an eco-evangelical hysteria" and suggesting that "we are becoming a national of environmental hypochondriacs," this double dipped moron concluded with this "profound" statement:

"Let me say I take it as an article of faith if the lord God almighty made the heavens and the Earth, and he made them to his satisfaction and it is quite pretentious of we little weaklings her on earth to think that, that we are going to destroy God's creation. [...]"

Smarmy Armey would make an atheist out of most people.

Schmarmy Armey, ha ha. Well The Lord Helps Those Who Help Themselves. Even the most illiterate S. Baptist knows that one. You know his reasoning reminds me of the arguments found inside the Malleus Maleficarum, about how God allows Witches do evil, basically to test the faithful.
LOL, Lots of circular bullshitting in there too.

Besides everyone knows that when the earth becomes unliveable for human beings that Jesus will come back and turn us all into giant Cockroaches.

It is so hard to believe that people believe people like Armey. His so phony and will say or do anything for money and influence. Unfortunately people do believe him and others will support him. They deserve what they get if they accept that he is working in their best interests. If they would listen carefully and ask questions they might learn that he talks nonsense and is laughing at them.

Let all the people receiving any benefits from the government give it all back. They can wait for private enterprise to pay their medical bills, pave their roads, pay the police and fire departments, control the bad foods and poisoning of our rivers, lakes etc. That is a small part of what the government does for us. If is not government that is the problem, it is the fools and thieves we elect after allowing them to deflect us from the real issues. See what happened to California and is beginning to happen top many states because we voted for lower taxes but do not like less services. There is no free ride and there never was.

Greed. I really hate greed. How these rich, fat CEOs and the ultra-elite can enjoy their fine dining makes me sick. They honestly don't care about the other 90 percent of the world starving to death.

What makes me really want to barf are these people that say it's the Lord that is leading them. The Bible does state that Jesus hates people that act stupid on purpose. WTF - Jesus will protect us from global warming! Will Jesus protect us if everyone decides take their hands off the stearing wheels of their cars tomorrow. Think for crying out loud you jerks that call yourselves Christians. Hell has a special job for greedy jerks that love their favorite pooches more than mankind.

I heard about a sick plan some so-called Christians have to wipe out the Muslims. These are not Christians because they do not preach love. They are hate mongers. Did they forget about "judge not lest though shall be judged"?

God help these satanic a-holes. I love athiests because they are honest.

I am a devout Catholic and a lot of other church ladies love MSNBC and Bill Moher. Us church ladies just want to give Mr.Moher a big hug. He is brilliant and acts more way more spiritual than those money-sucking, self-worshiping, blasphamous windbags like Coulter, Cheney, Limbaugh, etc. ad nauseum.

You Go Sister Anastasia!

You know you have created God in your own image, when he hates all the same people you do. Apparently those money sucking-self worshipping blasphemous windbags never learned that particular lesson.

The people you named use religion to emotionally manipulate the ignorant via scripture. That is all it is. They whore God and Jesus out to their own ends.
