Who cares if Tim Tebow is a virgin
For thousands of people in this country, what Tim Tebow thinks or does is considered to be of some importance. They think it is wonderful that Tim Tebow and Jesus walk hand in hand. and that Tim Tebow writes Bible verses on his face, and that Tim Tebow, in their opinion, shows mighty spiritual fortitude.
But why? Who cares?
Tim Tebow is known to be a born-again christianist who, in the off-season goes around the world trying to convert pagans so that they, too, will become born-again christianists and will not burn forever in hell. To burn forever in hell would be terrible. The keeper of hell probably prohibits the playing of football. Which would explain why some football players become born-again christianists.
Who cares?
Tim Tebow can throw a football. Tim Tebow might even be a great football player.

Now Tim Tebow has announced he is a virgin and "saving himself for marriage." Wow! Isn't that something? But, I can't recall anything in the Gospel mythologies where Jesus talks about saving yourself for marriage. I wonder why? Perhaps he didn't consider it important. He did talk about not parading your religion around in public like the hypocrites do.
As I've said many times, I have nothing against Mr. Tebow. And he can believe any fanciful nonsense he desires.
But saving yourself for marriage says nothing about you except that you have have been taught sex before marriage is bad and will make your god mad and you may not go to heaven where football must surely be allowed (well, maybe not on Sundays!)
But, please! Who cares what Tim Tebow thinks about such things?
He throws a football.
Who cares?
P.S. So far as I can tell, no one is certain as to who is Tebow's girlfriend. Be that as it may, the girls with whom he has been "friends" have had a special something or maybe two special somethings. Maybe he does have great "spiritual fortitude," or maybe he got tackled too hard a few times!

You guys are a bunch of D-bags! Obviously Tebow is important enough for you to talk about him or you wouldn't be. He is who he is and he answers questions that people ask him. He happens to be religous and lives his life according to his beliefs. Your comments while not directly bash him for it are doing that exact thing in a passive aggresive way. Nothing worse than a smart ass who does not truly speak their mind. Grow a pair and be real.
If you really mean "who cares" why did you write a post about him? Haha, Tebow has got your attention! Good for him for being honest and willing to stand for what he believes in...and look at all the throwback!

I'm also proud to say I'm also saving myself for marriage, because I want to just share the beauty of intimacy with one man. I hate the idea of going into a relationship with nothing secret and special to offer.
Maybe The Bible made it clear that sex before marriage allows your wife to have comparisons to your love making. In other words... She will realze that you cannot compare to her former lovers. God did you a favor by telling you not to touch that hot stove. Virginity offers an intimacy that you will never realize. Sorry guy...

The bible definitely says you're supposed to wait until after you're married to have sex. And it also says that you shouldn't hide your religion. And it also says not to judge others. You want the verses?
@ Kimanisioux - The bible also says that you should kill your children if they fail to observe the Sabbath (which, by the way, is Saturday)! The bible says a lot of things, most of which we ignore--thank goodness.
Just FYI, those things that are "ignored" were old covenant and new convenant. There was a law that God layed out to help us realize that we could never, ever be good enough to get into heaven because of our sin. So God makes a covenant with Abraham. What was so unique about it was that this covenant promise God made with Abraham was not dependant on Abraham perfectly adhereing to this covenant. God gave them a way to be made right through sacrifices and burnt offerings until the moment where Christ would become the last sacrifice needed to attone for sin. It was His blood, death, and ressurection that enables those of who are sinners (aka the whole human race from Adam and Eve on down) to have the chance at a relationship with God.
Obviously the law has been abolished, we don't stone people today. But the Old Testament scriptures have not lost meaning. They must be interpretted in light of the New Testament. Understanding the text in light of the historical and cultural parammetters (sp?) as well as who it was originally written for can shed a lot of light on passages that most people seem to struggle with.
As for sex before marriage, Christ taught about sexual imorality (includes all sex outside of what God designed it to be). So Christ definately taught about it.

Sex is a very powerful thing, and it should only be used to glorify our Maker in the way that he's designed for it, which is in the institution of marriage. Sex was meant to bring the two married and committed parties closer in their bond to God and with God.
Only God can differentiate the hypocrites from the truly pure of heart. You as a man cannot see into the heart of another man and thus cannot make assumptions as to whether or not the people- like myself- who are proud to consider themselves children of God and who are not afraid to show it, are hypocrites.
It serves you to call us hypocrites only because it justifies your lack of understanding as to where we are coming from.
We love the Lord and thanks to his unconditional love we are saved! If my praises and constant talks of how great He is makes me a hypocrite, then hypocrite I AM!
I, like Tim Tebow, am saving myself for the day the Lord has made for me and my "Adam", and I am not ashamed or afraid to proclaim it! I am 17 years old and I'm proud to say that I've been born again! I've been taken out of the world conscienceness and only desire the things of the Kingdom of Heaven.
And I applaud Tim Tebow!

Several flaws to point out in your post, Jacob. For one, the bible does explicetly speak to the sanctity of marriage when it says "Keep the marriage bed pure". Your blatent statement that the bible does not speak to it, when infact it does, shows your ignorance to something you are debating and kind of makes the rest of your post seem irrelivent.
Secondly, you speak to faith by works (eg, you must do good things to go to heaven and if you do bad things you're going to hell). If that were the case, we would all be hell bound. Jesus saves by his grace, not by what we do or don't do.
Thirdly, you continously say "who cares"? Well, obviously you do or you wouldn't have taken the time to post.
Finally, there are a ton of hypocryte christans out there.... just as there are crooked cops, judges, and other beings in what is supposed to be a 'good role'. Let God be their judge, and let yourself be intelligent enough not to sterotype ALL christians as hypocrytes.
Christians will fall too, and make mistakes. Again, let God judge them.
Finally, if more kids out there saved themselves for marriage I'll bet the statistics on STD's and teen parenting (raising a whole new generation of children without fathers, under the poverty level, etc....) would drastically decrease. Weather you believe in God or not, that's a good thing.
I find it amusing that everyone is saying the bible tells of saving one's self for marriage. While true, the post you are bashing said nothing of the sort. Jesus never said anything of the sort. JESUS is what was mentioned, not the bible. But way to take things out of context, as usual, I expected no less.
You also don't have to care about a subject to parody the full-blast media coverage of said subject. The subject in this case, is the coverage of how holier-than-thou Tim Tebow is in the media. I am a diehard Gators fan, love Tim to death, but find it funny the slight hypocrisy to his chosen lifestyle(s). The whole NFL Christianity army is amusingly hypocritical as well, to be honest. And saying the opposite is utterly unbelievable, and shows a greater flaw in society.
And instead of you arguing about how religion makes people better, it might be time to better yourselves to be productive members of society. The incorrect usage of words and grammar is appalling. Whether (note the correct word usage) you're (note again the correct word usage) religious or not, you really can't argue something when you come off as an ignorant imbecile. Nobody will take you seriously, and you just further prove their point.
Maybe he really just wants to save himself for the one person he wants to spend his life with!!! Is it really that big of a deal??? I wish their were more men with his beliefs on this planet!!!
