It's crazy in the south

A letter to the editor. From a woman in an 55 + community.

"With God," she begins, "all things are possible. ...

"So I call," she continues, "to consider supporting Hillary Clinton. Why? Throw all the mud in the trash which comes from the camp of the ungodly. How can I say this? Our Lord said, by their fruit ye shall know them. Therefore, the godly do not trash others. It is so easy to see."

Did you get that? Do you see? But it's important, she says, to avoid the media and let the "Lord" guide us "in these critical times."

Critical they may be, but they're gonna get better because the end of the world is coming.

"These times are about lies and deception. Look at global warming. Man's deception would have us believe the junk, while God would have us understand we are nearing the end of this earth age and are going to see it. How exciting for those who understand."

Really exciting. Oh, one other thing: the churches are telling lies.

And Hillary is God's choice for president.

Our letter writer lives in Florida, the deep south. She doubtless came from somewhere else. Maybe Texas. Except for the part about Hillary being God's choice for the White House, the woman sounds a lot like Bush giving a speech about the "axel of evil." That would be global warming.

How exciting for those who understand?

Huh?

(It's a long time from June to November!)

Reasonable people have been saying the same things for centuries but nothing changes. It is silly to attack a five year old Jewish child by calling it a Christ killer or accusing it of killing God. Yet that happens. It is illogical to kill 6 million Jews because they were accused of having killed another Jew over 2000 years ago, but that persists today. In the name of the Prince of Peace, Jews are killed. It makes no sense but I am sure some readers know that is part of Intelligent Design and part of the intelligent design of the world.
We can complain forever but the same problem keeps popping up. It pops up in areas of the world where no Jews remain alive due to the hatred of Jews, dead or alive, ancient or modern. What is wrong with any church that condones such thinking? Is it any wonder that Jesus hasn’t returned, as far as we know? As one that was born and died a practicing Jew he risks a similar death all over again. The only safe place for Him would be in Israel, surrounded by coreligionists in the uniform of the IDF, prepared to protect him from violence. If He appeared at the UN, twenty ambassadors would leave as soon as He rose to speak. The rest would question His credentials and probably refuse to allow him to speak.
Not much has changed since His last visit. It’s a cinch He wouldn’t go to Australia.
