One of my favorite bloggers at Scholars and Rogues calls a Colorado GOP candidate for the U.S. Senate "Bobblehead Shaffer."
There's a reason for that. Bob Shaffer "has launched a new TV ad telling us how he's the change Colorado needs. It's a pretty spot, which features ... [a] scenic shot of Mt. McKinley..."
Oops! Mt. McKinley is in Alaska!
As Scholars and Rogues asks: "Sweet fancy Jesus, does this braying jackass even know what state he lives in? ...
"We need a change, all right. Specifically, we need to change to a candidate who can find Colorado on a map..."

According to the Democratic National Committee, Shaffer is an "oil industry shill," who has made millions working for the oil corporations. It's reported he's done more for folks in the Ukraine than he has for the people of Colorado!
Shaffer is also another Repugnican who can't seem to get his ethics straight...he's one of those guys who went off to the Marianas on a fact-finding mission courtesy of Jack Abramoff...Shaffer had a great time fishing, playing and being wined and dined while the people working in the Mariannas' sweat shops got screwed by Shaffer, Tom DeLay and Abramoff's other friends...

Another typical professional candidate owned by someone or a group of someone's. I wish the media would investigate all candidates, regardless of party and tell the truth. I am old enough to remember when some reporters tried to expose the bad guys.
Popele do get what they deserve, too bad!
