What's floating in Alaskan waters?

McClatchy reported this morning on a "big blog of mystery" floating off Alaska's coast.

"Hunters from Wainright first started noticing the stuff sometime probably early last week. It's thick and dark and 'gooey' and is drifting for miles in the cold Arctic waters, according to Gordon Brower with the North Slope Borough's Planning and Community Services Department."

No it's not oil. Terry Hasenauer, a Petty Office 1st Class with the Coast Guard says "It's certainly biological. It's definitely not an oil product of any kind. It has no characteristics of an oil, or a hazardous substance, for that matter."

Actually, it's quite simple. Sarah Palin wrote (it was probably ghostwritten) an article about "cap and trade" which appeared in the nogoodnik Washington Post (that's the newspaper that sells space for politicos to present their point of view...)

Unfortunately (for her), even though she probably didn't write it, she did try to read it and...well...her brain exploded!

Her brain is now described as a big blog of mystery goo, which instead of residing in her skull, is currently floating off Alaska's coast.
