A minister we had in California removed the American Flag from the front of the church because he had this crazy idea that church was supposed to be about God and Jesus, not cheap patriotism and nationalism. He didn't last long, but he was the best minister I ever knew.

The only thing done here in churches is the singing of the national anthem on the Sunday closest to Canada Day.

Maybe he did not pray loudly enough. The squeaky wheel gets the most grease, we are told.
