No anti-evolution stuff taught in Mississippi schools...for now

The National Center for Science Education is reporting that a bill in the Mississippi House which would have required that anti-evolution material be taught alongside pro-evolution material has died in committee.

Thank God! Or someone!

The good guys won for a change.

That won't stop the broomsticks and numbnuts, though. Eternal vigilance is the watchword when dealing with christianist crazies!

I'm not so sure this is a great thing. Sure, it's the right thing to do, but I surely loved it when the Dover School Board was brought before a federal judge. This state would be forced to defend this dogma. How fun would that be? (We're about to experience this in Texas with our SBOE.)

In the event that a federal judge upholds the law, the supreme court would be forced to slap it down.

The schadenfreude doesn't get any thicker than watching these religious nuts get schooled by a federal judge.

Hi Tommy...

It's amazing how many stoopids there are "out there." I know you SBOE is full of them! It's getting so I'm ashamed to admit I ever lived in Texas!

Let's hope a judge hangs 'em out to dry!
