Sarah Palin's description of the Tea Party healthcare plan

"The plan is to allow those things that had been proposed over many years to reform a health care system in America that certainly does need more help so that there's more competition, there's less tort reform threat, there's less trajectory of the cost increases? And those plans have been proposed over and over again. And what thwarts those plans? It's the far left. It's President Obama and his supporters who will not allow the Republicans to usher in free market, patient-centered, doctor-patient relationship links to reform health care!"

(From an interview with Matt Lauer as reported by the Huffington Post)

And yes, she really is that stupid!

Years ago, Hillary Clinton proposed a comprehensive health plan that was rejected by Congress. During the run up to the vote, it was agreed by many on both sides of the aisle that the debate would lead to changes in our health care. That did not happen until Obama tried.

We, those that believe we do need drastic changes in delivery of health care, have waited for new proposals for many years. They were not forthcoming by either party until Obama.

The need is still there and a plan exists and is now the law of the land. The details probably can be examined and improved! That is what our law makers should be addressing rather than to repeal the law and claim to start over again.

Is there a legitimate objection to the goal of expanding health care for all? Yes or NO?

Let us agree the law could be improved as most laws can be so the real issue is to agree on the need for better care
