Very interesting.
I remember how Syro Malabar church in Kerala incorporated Indian classical dance and Hindu rituals during the mass to blends with the culture here. They even go for the Mary in Indian cloths. I think the Indian Catholics steal that idea from the African Mary and Jesus.
