Rush Limbaargh, the brain-washed moron

Joshua Holland, at AlterNet, has a funny piece about a "Republican" calling in to old Rush and castigating the fat man for being one of the reasons McCain lost the election to Obama, and for his endorsement of torture.

The caller's name is Charles. He first says this:

"Thanks, Rush. Rush, listen, I voted Republican, and I didn't -- really didn't want to see Obama get in office. But, you know, Rush, you're one reason to blame for this election, for the Republicans losing.

"First of all, you kept harping about voting for Hillary. The second big issue is the -- was the torture issue. I'm a veteran. We're not supposed to be torturing these people. This is not Nazi Germany, Red China, or North Korea. There's other ways of interrogating people, and you kept harping about it -- 'It's OK,' or 'It's not really torture.' And it was just more than waterboarding. Some of these prisoners were killed under torture.

"And it just -- it was crazy for you to keep going on and on like Levin and Hannity and Hewitt. It's like you're all brainwashed.

"And my last comment is, no matter what Obama does, you will still criticize him because I believe you're brainwashed. You're just -- and I hate to say it -- but I think you're a brainwashed Nazi. Anyone who could believe in torture just has got to be - there's got to be something wrong with them."

Rush, at this point, tries to interrupt, but Charles won't let him.

Just two things: To say that Rush Limbaarh is "brainwashed," is assuming too much. An asshole doesn't have a brain!

Alec Baldwin on the GOP and Limbaugh

A couple of days ago, the actor Alec Baldwin, offered a few thoughts regarding the political situation in this country, referencing the GOP and Rush Limbaugh in particular. While I don't agree with everything he said, in particular his praise of "real Republicans," which he thinks are represented by the ideas of Barry Goldwater, he does make several comments which are right on target.

For example: "Rush Limbaugh is an uneducated, marginally talented, overbearing, recovering drug addict who was, at least according to Wikipedia, ineligible for the draft because he had cysts on his ass."

I wonder if that's a typo, and the word "ass," was mistakenly substituted for "brain"?

Baldwin's "real Republican" friends "(not hypocritical evangelicals who are too lazy to raise their own children properly so, therefore, insist that all public institutions and policies bend to their will to make that job easier) do not listen to Limbaugh. They don't care what he says." ...

"Until Limbaugh gets real, weans himself off the big salary and runs for office, he will always be nothing more than a poorly educated, marginally talented buffoon who has developed a real talent for manipulating the G-spot of the neocon consciousness and massaging the hate gland of so many economically displaced white voters in America.

"I hope to God the GOP gets its act together soon and finds a real leader for their Party. Rush Limbaugh as the spokesperson for the GOP? 2010, I can't wait."


Methinks maybe Baldwin's concern is too late. Rush Limbaargh seems to have already been chosen as the de facto leader of the Repugnicans!

Rush Limbaugh naked - courtesty of Media Matters

Rush Limbaugh, now touted as the de facto leader of the Loser Repugnicans, is a scumbag. Limbaugh, the fat, drug-addicted radio "personality," is not a nice man.

Media Matters has done everyone a favor by collecting some of Limbaugh's nastiest comments down through the years.

Here are some samples:

Jan. 22, 2009: On Faux News Hannity, "Limbaugh said of media coverage of Obama: 'We are being told that we have to hope he succeeds, that we have to bend over, grab the ankles, bend over forward, backward, whichever, because his father was black, because this is the first black president."

Jun. 2008: Limbaargh said Obama's "'only chance of winning' the Oval Office 'is that he's black.'"

May 14, 2008: Limbaargh whined that "If Obama were Caucasian, they would have taken this guy out on the basis of pure ignorance long ago."

During the 2008 campaign, Limbaargh protested that Obama was "an affirmative action candidate."

Whatever else you derive from such pronouncements, it's blatantly clear that Rushbo is a racist of the worst sort!


Here are a few other snippets:

"Limbaugh has repeated invoked right-wing conspiracy theories that the Clintons were involved in the death of then-deputy White House counsel Vince Foster, whose body was found in Northern Virginia's Fort March Park on July 20, 1993, despite multiple investigations that determined Foster committed suicide."

"In September 2007, Limbaugh characterized service members who advocate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq 'phony soldiers.'" This from a fat slob who rakes in $40 million a year and who has never served in uniform!

In August of 2007, Limbaargh suggested that liberals and Democrats want the U.S. to get out of Iraq, but "go to Darfur" because the people in Darfur are black. The reason, said Limbaargh, is that going to Darfur would send a signal to blacks in this country to keep voting the Democratic ticket.

On Feb. 5, 2007, referring to a study by the Univ. of Chicago that found "a majority of young blacks feel alienated from today's government," Limbaargh said "Why would that be? The government's been taking care of them their whole lives."


Limbaargh is not only racist, but a misogynist. When Nancy Pelosi was elected as Speaker of the House, he said "[L]ook at Ms. Pelosi. Why, she can multitask. She can breastfeed, she can clip her toenails, she can direct the House, all while the kids are sitting on her lap at the same time."

Limbaargh often refers to feminists as "feminazis."

On Jan. 10, 2006, Rusbo "suggested that some women 'would love to be hired as eye candy.'"


Rush Limbaugh also likes to attack the disabled. In October, 2006, he "accused actor Michael J. Fox, who has Parkinson's disease, of 'exaggerating the effects of the disease' in a campaign advertisement for Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), who was then a Senate candidate." Limbaargh said "...it's purely an act. .. this is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting, one of the two."


Well, there's much more. It all adds up to the fact that Limbaargh is a diseased person, a drug-addicted, drug-addled racist and hate-monger. Some say Limbaargh is "entertainment," and that "it's all a show."

Sorry, that won't wash. Racism and hate are not "entertainment." Inciting hatred and violence among the American people is not funny.

Limbaugh shows us just how low some people will got to make a buck; the depths of depravity.

And this is the man the Republican Party has walked to the altar and married.

GOP - oppositional failure

Whatever else one can say about the GOP these days, one can say it is the political party with failure on its mind. That's understandable, of course, in that the Republican Party has been the party of failure since Herbert Hoover. Then came Ronald Reagan, who started the process that has led us to our current sad state of affairs. Failure became the GOP's middle name, however, when Newt Gingrich slid off the rails in 1994 and then failure blossomed into catastrophe under George W. Bush.

Now, it appears that Rush Limbaugh has become the GOP spokesperson, and he makes a perfect symbol for a failed elephant. A drug addicted, unhappy flop as a human being, he leads the Repugs deeper into the netherland of failure.

Speaking to CPAC the other day, he stressed again, proudly, his desire that Obama and the Obama administration fail in their attempts to make our country whole again. "Failure," he cried, "that's what I want."

Limbaugh leads a choir of Repug wingnuts all of which are echoing his refrain:

Rick Santorum: "Absolutely, we hope his [Obama's] policies fail."

Tom DeLay: When asked if he wanted Obama to fail, DeLay said: "Well, exactly right. I don't want this for our nation."

Michelle Malkin: "Yes, I hope that fails."

Limbaugh laughing all the way to the bank, said "The dirty little secret...is that every Republican in this country wants Obama to fail, but none of them have the guts to say so: I am willing to say it."

Perhaps in a darker corner yet sits Glenn Beck, who along with others are actually hoping for a violent revolution!

Maybe that's what Joe the Plumber was referring to when he said some members of Congress should be slapped and shot.


These are the people who hold themselves up to be patriots. They are not. If anything, they are traitors. They are willing to see the country and their fellow Americans go belly-up in order to perpetrate their hatred and retain their power.

In fact, their words and actions come mighty close to inciting rebellion, if not treason!

This is the GOP today: an oppositional failure!

Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh - GOP models

Joan Walsh, in a Salon article a couple of days ago, noted how Limbaugh and Palin have become "the public faces of the [Republican] party."

Limbaugh and Palin are "emerging from the Republican wilderness," and are "hogging the limelight themselves."

Walsh points out, for example, how Palin trotted down to D.C. to "stalk" President Obama at the "stuffy Alfalfa Dinner," and today [Feb. 2] she's composed an Op-Ed backing (surprise!) drilling in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge."

Limbaugh, on the other hand, wrote an Op-Ed for the WSJ, "with a farcical approach to an "'Obama-Limbaugh' stimulus proposal, and he's continuing to use his radio show to campaign against the Democrats' stimulus bill."


Walsh has much more of interest and importance to say, but my point is simply that nothing reveals the depths to which the Republican Party has sunk than when Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh become Republican role models.

According to a Rasmussen Poll released Feb. 2, a majority of GOP voters believe that the Republican Party should be more like Sarah Palin.

Rush Limbaugh - Economic advisor

A troubled woman, named "Marie" called ol' Rush on January 21 wondering what she should do: the value of her house has declined dramatically, and her business is on the ropes and she needs some hope. She didn't vote for Obama because she doesn't agree with his policies. But she's desperate.

Limbaugh, the suave economic advisor, said:

"Well, you might want to consult history. I don't know how old you are, but I've got a story in the stack that I'll get to quickly. It was much worse than this 26 years ago, Ronald Reagan's second year. The 1970s were an absolute disaster: double-digit unemployment, double-digit interest rates. Nobody could borrow because they couldn't afford it. You couldn't -- and back then, you had to have 20 percent down to buy a house unless you went with FHA, and even -- and that was very tough to qualify for back then. ... "

Later on Limbaugh returned to this subject:

"...I've been broke twice in my life. I've described the circumstances. I wouldn't be sitting around waiting for somebody to tell me what I should do, wouldn't be sitting around waiting for somebody in Washington to come up with a plan that's going to start getting people to spend money ... I would be doing everything I could to make money. If that meant a different line of work, so be it. ... I think poor Marie has been subjected to how many years of media attempts to create a crisis mentality where the economy is concerned. For five years, at least, the media's been trying to convince every one of you that we're already in a recession, and now, they're trying to convince you we are in a depression, that it is worse than the Great Depression, and it isn't.

"We haven't even gotten close to how bad it was in the 1970s. We haven't gotten close to the recession in 1982."


You'll notice first of all, Limbaugh eviscerates the truth with nonsensical rantings about how our economy was much worse in the 1970s and in 1982. Not quite. I remember those times quite well. They don't begin to compare with our present situation. Of course, as per Rush, we're not in a recession/depression; such thinking is a figment of the imagination perpetrated by the media!

Perhaps this call was merely a setup so Rush could blather on about pulling one's self up by his/her bootstraps and chant the usual mantra about how big government is bad and shouldn't be expected to bail people out of trouble.

Limbaugh, of course, is first of all an "entertainer," and I use that word loosely. Thus truth or knowledge are not included in his on-air lexicon. In this particular case, his immediate goal is to make sure his deluded listeners undersand that President Obama won't be able to help them.

Obama's a liberal, for god's sake. We need another George W. Bush with strong, conservative principles!

Rush Limbaugh wants Obama to fail

Rush Limbaugh, is a big, fat, ugly, white guy with no heart and no brain. So, whatever he says is not surprising. It is usually mean-spirited, false, untrue, nasty, idiotic, stupid, cruel, etc., but it is not surprising.

Limbaugh thinks the inauguration of President Barack Obama was a miserable failure, a flop, a joke, nothing more than another campaign event. Heh, heh.

He has a right to his opinion, of course, in spite of the fact that millions of people around the world would heartily disagree, but that's only the beginning.

Limbaugh wants President Obama to fail as president. Here's what he said on his radio show last Friday:

"I disagree fervently with the people on our [Republican] side of the aisle who have caved and who say, ‘Well, I hope he succeeds.’”

Then he mentioned he had been asked by “a major American print publication” to offer a 400-word statement explaining his “hope for the Obama presidency.” He responded:

"So I'm thinking of replying to the guy, 'Okay, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words, I need four. I hope he fails. What are you laughing at? See, here's the point. Everybody thinks it's outrageous to say. Look, even my staff, 'Oh, you can't do that.' Why not? Why is it any different, what's new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what's gotten us dangerously close to the precipe here. Why do I want more of it? I don't care what the Drive-By story is. I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long: 'Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails.' Somebody's gotta say it."

What the fat, ugly white man is really promoting, of course, is the failure of the country. And, he knows very well that "liberalism" isn't the problem, but the cure. The problems of our nation are not the result of liberalism, but are the spawn of the "conservative" politics Limbaugh showcases.

And what he doesn't realize is that his day is over. The country has moved in another direction. The population is changing rapidly and dramatically. Limbaugh, a sad and pathetic excuse for a human being, will find his audience made up of more and more of the marginalized, the mentally ill, the dumb and dumber, and the world will pass him by like roadkill on an Interstate.
