Obama and liberal Democrats used since the 1930’s.

It’s a wonder that we still have some democracy still in spite of all those traitors trying so hard to lose wars, kill the economy and turn us into some new form of anarchy or sale to the highest bidders.

Personally I think the New Deal helped the USA and its people. I remember what it was like during the Great Depression when people had few jobs and many lost all their savings. I think Democrats rescued them from the Hoover policies still being touted by the same people’s descendents. They never seem to learn from what works and what doesn’t.
Bob Porisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558253513796745662.post-26987029413903296002014-11-23T17:10:29.056-05:002014-11-23T17:10:29.056-05:00I'm watching the documentaries at the moment- ...I'm watching the documentaries at the moment- I picked up the DVD. An extraordinary family... and so very set apart from the privileged world they came from. Teddy and FDR, regardless of their flaws, were far better people than many of their contemporaries.William Kendallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00331324250821836822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558253513796745662.post-17775044961882372402014-11-23T12:37:54.215-05:002014-11-23T12:37:54.215-05:00How many Republicans today seem unaware of the goo...How many Republicans today seem unaware of the good FDR did for this nation. He was not perfect but was sincere in making life better for the entire population with his social engineering we all enjoy today. Many manage to mention their family members on Social Security, etc when they try to justify privatizing or getting rid of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment insurance, minimum wages and other social program helping the poor and middle classes. His New Deal changed us for the better and is still of high value.Bob Porisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558253513796745662.post-8221972001394493142014-11-23T11:19:13.525-05:002014-11-23T11:19:13.525-05:00Gene is correct and spot on with this essay re the...Gene is correct and spot on with this essay re the Ken Burns series on the various Roosevelt's and their accomplishments. Imagine what would have happened if they had not had the courage and foresight to act as they did regardless of their different parties.

Their enemies hated them and vilified them but the Roosevelt's were proven right. I think we are in a similar situation now and Obama's opponents vilify him rarely giving him credit for being right most of the time.

History will judge Obama's two terms and I believe will judge him correct for most of his actions and attempts to salvage something from all the damage done during the previous eight years.

Neither he nor the Roosevelt's were right all the time. Few humans are right all the time. We should honor those who try and succeed most of the time.Bob Porisnoreply@blogger.com
