A handful of volunteers have joined Israel in its struggle to survive wars, suicide bombers, boycotts, non recognition, a hostile UN, etc. There was very little sympathy while 3 out of 5 European Jews from all over Europe were rounded up and murdered. Israel cannot depend upon sympathy when it is attacked. Those attempting to escape were stopped at borders and turned over to be sent back to certain death by unsympathetic governments all over the world, before, during and after Hitler! The survivors were not allowed into Palestine with the active help of the British armed forces for years after WW2. The lack of sympathy was apparent.Bob Porisnoreply@blogger.com
